Morsures Savoureuses de Crabe (Savory Crab Bites)

Ingredients

2 tablespoons butter
1 slice of purple onion, chopped finely
1 fresh serrano pepper, chopped finely
2 fresh mushrooms, baby bella or similar, chopped finely
6 ounces canned or fresh crab 
3 tablespoons Hollandaise sauce
4 sprigs of dill, chopped very finely
Pre-made phyllo pastry cups (Athena is one brand that is available)
1/4 cup finely grated sharp cheddar cheese


Steps

1. Melt the butter in a sauce pan and sautee onions, mushrooms and pepper until onions are translucent
2. Remove mixture from heat and place into a bowl. Then gently, but thoroughly, mix in the crab, Hollandaise sauce and dill
3. Fill each pastry cup with approximately 1 teaspoon of the mixture and top with sharp cheddar cheese
4. Place the cups on an ungreased baking sheet and bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 5-6 minutes.
